Plot Synopsis
From the creators of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and The LEGO Movie comes The Mitchells vs. The Machines, an animated action-comedy about a family who unexpectedly becomes humanity’s last hope. Katie Mitchell, a creative outsider, finally gets into the film school of her dreams and is ready to leave home to pursue her passion and meet like-minded people. Her nature-loving dad, however, insists on one last family road trip to drop her off and reconnect. The trip becomes anything but ordinary when a global robot uprising begins. Smartphones, robot vacuums, and even toy Furbys turn against humans and attempt to capture everyone. The Mitchells — including upbeat mom Linda, quirky little brother Aaron, their lovable pug Monchi, and two friendly but bumbling robots — must band together to outwit the machines and save the planet. The film blends family dynamics, quirky humor, and inventive animation to create a fun, heartfelt adventure for viewers of all ages.
