  • Oil spray. A light mist of olive oil or avocado oil spray helps fries crisp and helps seasonings adhere. Any cooking spray works.

How to Make Air Fryer Frozen Sweet Potato Fries

1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C).

2. Add the frozen sweet potato fries to the preheated air fryer in a single layer or as close as possible. For basket-style models, fill no more than one-third to one-half full. If needed, cook in multiple batches for best results.

3. Lightly spray the fries with oil and sprinkle with salt. Add any optional seasonings you prefer.

4. Cook for 5 minutes at 400°F, then shake the basket or toss the fries to redistribute them and prevent pieces on the bottom from being underdone.

5. Continue cooking another 5–10 minutes, checking for desired crispness. Total cook time typically ranges from 10 to 15 minutes depending on the brand and thickness of the fries; for extra crispiness aim for 12–15 minutes.
